Rob Font won a unanimous decision over Cody Garbrandt in the main event of UFC Vegas 27, with two judges scoring the contest 50-45 and the other judge scoring it 48-47. Font was able to use his jab to control almost every round of his first main event fight in the UFC. Everyone predicted this fight to be a skilled boxing match, but Garbrandt had other plans. Garbrandt decided to use his wrestling in the first few rounds, landing a series of takedowns although he was never able to do any real damage.
