RIZIN 27 returned with a card filled of stoppages in Nagoya, Japan, on Sunday.
The main event, in fact, was one of the few fights to go the distance, with super atomweight queen Ayaka Hamasaki defending her throne in a rematch against Kanna Asakura.
The 38-year-old veteran, who first became champion by submitting Asakura back in 2018, had to dig deeper this time, winning a close split decision after a hard-fought contest.
Eight of the other nine MMA bouts of the card did not go the distance, including teammates Roberto Satoshi and Kleber Koike tapping their opponents in similar fashion.
