Jiri Prochazka made short work of Fabio Maldonado in the main event of Rizin 19 on Saturday in Osaka, Japan.
The light heavyweight champion met the Brazilian at a catchweight of 220 pounds and it was clear that his power translated to the heavier category when he sent the travelled brawler reeling early on with a clean right hand. Shortly after initially rocking him, Prochazka sent Maldonado down with a three-punch combination before landing unanswered shots on the ground that prompted the referee to stop the action.
Following the win, Prochazka claimed that he would open to fight any fighter in his weight class from Rizin or Bellator.
