In an effort to focus on its Dec. 31 fight card at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, World Series of Fighting has canceled its next two scheduled shows.
MMAMania.com was the first to report the story on Monday.
The promotion was scheduled to stage WSOF 34 on Nov. 12 at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo., headlined by welterweight champion Jon Fitch defending against fellow former UFC title challenger Jake Shields. WSOF 35 was slated for three weeks later at the Xfinity Arena in Everett, Wash.
Both cards will now be nixed and according to the MMAMania report, the Fitch-Shields fight, as well as others in the works for the two respective cards will be added to the Dec.
