A pair of welterweights banger was added to the next UFC card in Brazil. According to MMA DNA’s Marcel Dorff, rising prospect Vicente Luque will take on hard-chinned Bryan Barberena at UFC On ESPN+ 2, in Fortaleza, Brazil.
Currently on a three-fight winning streak, Vicente Luque (14-6-1) already holds stoppage wins over the likes of Niko Price, Chad Laprise and, most recently, Jalin Turner, in his last few outings. His latest loss came in March 2017, when the 27-year-old dropped an unanimous decision to fellow prospect Leon Edwards.
With a first-round TKO win of now retired veteran Jake Ellenberger in his last fight, Bryan Barberena (14-5) will try and start a new win streak when he meets Luque in his opponent’s home country.
