UFC middleweight Markus Perez will not get the fight against Khamzat Chimaev he wished for, but at least he will still perform on October 10. According to Combate’s report, the promotion was able to sign former KSW welterweight champion Dricus du Plessis to step in for injured Rodolfo Vieira, against ‘Maluko’.
Currently on a two-fight winning streak, Dricus du Plessis (14-2) is coming off a submission victory over Brendan Lesar, in December 2019. The 26-year-old’s last loss happened October 2018, when he lost the KSW belt to Roberto Soldic via knockout. Overall, the 26-year-old’s has never gone the distance.
