Before the Ultimate Fighting Championship makes its debut in Belem this Saturday night, Brazilian fans have reason to be excited.
According to a Sunday evening report from Brazilian outlet Combate.com, UFC 224 will take place in Rio de Janeiro on May 12. It will be the promotion’s first pay-per-view event in Brail since Max Holloway defeated Jose Aldo at UFC 212 last June.
No venue has yet been revealed, but the leading candidate is Jeunesse Arena, where UFC 212 was held. It has been the ccompany’s Rio home since UFC 134 in August 2011.
