A pair of exciting bantamweights are headed to Las Vegas, Nevada. According to Flo Combat’s report, knockout artist Thomas Almeida will take on versatile finisher Marlon Vera at UFC 235.
Once a hot prospect in the division, but now winless in his last two bouts, Thomas Almeida (21-3) was knocked out by Rob Font in his last outing and dropped a unanimous decision to Jimmie Rivera before that. The 27-year-old’s last win came in November 2016, when he TKO’d Albert Morales in the second round.
A TUF Latin American alumnus, Marlon Vera (12-5-1) will try to make it three in a row when he meets Almeida.
