Ronda Rousey has proven once again that she is the biggest star in the UFC.
MMA Fighting’s Dave Meltzer reports that Rousey’s fight against Bethe Correia at UFC 190 is estimated to have done over 900,000 pay-per-view buys. UFC 190 is the third UFC event of the year to go over 800,000 buys, according to Meltzer.
What makes the figures especially impressive is that the fight took place in Brazil. Fight cards put on outside the country generally generate less buzz and fewer buys by a large margin. Apparently Rousey is so popular and gets so much media exposure, she can counterbalance that.
