Former Strikeforce champion Rafael Cavalcante and onetime “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” finalist Daniel Sarafian have been cut from the Ultimate Fighting Championship roster, according to a report.
News of the Brazilian fighters’ release was first reported on Saturday by OlimpioMMA.com, who cited unnamed sources close to the UFC.
Cavalcante, 35, was winless in his last three Octagon appearances and had competed sporadically in recent years, fighting only once in 2014 and 2015. He was last seen on Feb. 6, when he dropped a lackluster unanimous decision to Ovince St.
