Michael Bisping is being sued for allegedly choking a man at a 24 Fitness gym in Anaheim, Calif., this past July, according to a report from TMZ Sports.
Antonio Georgakopoulos claims that Bisping called him a “little punk” and an “idiot” for taking the UFC middleweight champion’s weights without asking during a workout. Georgakopoulos then alleges that the British fighter grabbed him by the throat and squeezed, causing him to nearly lose consciousness before another gym patron intervened.
Bisping reportedly yelled, “Let’s take this outside” following the altercation.
According to the report, police arrived at the scene and filed a report, but the City Attorney determined there wasn’t enough evidence to move forward with criminal charges against Bisping, who cooperated with the investigation.
