Just over a month following his removal from UFC 226 due to unexplained concussion-like symptoms, UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway’s much-anticipated title defense vs. Brian Ortega has been rebooked.
MMAjunkie reported late Friday night that agreements are in place for Holloway and Ortega to square off at UFC 231 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Bout contracts have not been signed, and the UFC obviously hasn’t made the fight official.
Holloway (19-3) has yet to fight in 2018. He tried to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov on short notice at UFC 223, but was pulled on weigh-ins day due to weight cutting concerns.
