A new report names Jacksonville, Fla., as the host of the UFC 249 pay-per-view event on May 9.
Wrestling Observer Newsletter on Thursday said the 15,000-seat VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena will host of the stacked fight card, which is headlined by an interim lightweight title bout between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. The UFC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
MMA Fighting on Tuesday reported Florida as the likely host of the event. People with knowledge of the promotion’s plans said Jacksonville is the destination on fighters’ travel itineraries for the May 9 fight card.
