UFC 101 is in search of a new main event. On Tuesday, it was reported former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold (pictured) has been forced out of his November 26 rematch with Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza with an undisclosed injury.
MMAFighting.com was the first to report Rockhold’s injury. The UFC has yet to address his status for the event.
It is unknown if the UFC intends on keeping Souza in the lineup.
Rockhold beat Souza five years ago to capture the Strikeforce middleweight crown. The unanimous decision victory put Rockhold’s name on the MMA map and he really hasn’t looked back since.
