An exciting lightweight rematch is being targeted for the UFC’s Super Bowl event on February 6th, as Diego Ferreira will attempt to avenge his loss against Beneil Dariush.
ESPN first reported the matchup, but the UFC is yet to confirm the booking. Ferreira and Dariush first met at UFC 179 in October 2014, with Dariush handing the Brazilian the first loss of his professional career.
Ferreira (17-2) is undefeated in the UFC since losing to top contender Dustin Poirier in 2015. The accomplished Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner won decisions against Rustam Khabilov and Mairbek Taisumov in 2019.
