Deiveson Figueiredo won’t be taking any time to rest after his recent victory. Not even two weeks after his unanimous decision win over Alexandre Pantoja, in which he claimed a “Fight of the Night” bonus, ‘Deus da Guerra’ has already set his sights on a new challenge. According to Combate, the Brazilian will now take on Tim Elliott, in San Francisco.
One of the heaviest hitters in the flyweight division, Figueiredo (16-1) latest win, back on July 26, provided the 31-year-old a strong bounce back from his unanimous decision loss to Jussier Formiga in March. Before the loss, the Brazilian was on a four-fight winning streak in the UFC, with knockout wins over Marco Beltran, Joseph Morales and John Moraga.
