Report: Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz Rematch Targeted For UFC 200

According to Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com, a non-title welterweight rematch between UFC golden boy Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz is in the works for the July 9 extravaganza.

McGregor initially claimed he was going move back down to featherweight to defend his title against either Jose Aldo or Frankie Edgar at UFC 200 after losing to Diaz, but it appears he would prefer a do-over with Diaz.

McGregor was scheduled to challenge UFC lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 196 in hopes of becoming the UFC’s first two-way champ, but dos Anjos broke his foot and was forced to pull out of the matchup at the 11th hour.
