Two months out from his UFC flyweight title fight with Deiveson Figueiredo, Cody Garbrandt has tested positive for COVID-19.
AG Fight first reported the news that Garbrandt tested positive for the virus earlier this week and is currently quarantining awaiting the results of his latest test. In the report, Garbrandt is said to have suffered only mild symptoms including a headache.
Luckily for the Team Alpha Male fighter, his flyweight debut against Figueiredo is still scheduled to go ahead in the main event of UFC 255 on November 21st.
Garbrandt (12-3) picked up one of the most important wins of his career back in June, a highlight reel KO over Raphael Assuncao that is a contender for 2020 Knockout of the Year.
