B.J. Penn’s comeback appears to have been delayed once again.
According to a report from MMAjunkie.com on Tuesday, Penn has suffered an injury in training and will not be able to face Ricardo Lamas in the UFC Fight Night 97 headliner in Manila on Oct. 15. The withdrawal has not been announced by the UFC, and it is unclear if the promotion will be able to find a replacement opponent for Lamas on short notice.
UFC Fight Night takes place at the Mall of Asia Arena and includes a heavyweight tilt between Derrick Lewis and Marcin Tybura.
