A strawweight battle between two Brazilians is reportedly headed to UFC 267. According to Combate, grappling specialists Amanda Ribas and Virna Jandiroba have agreed to face each other in the promotion’s return to ‘Fight Island.’
In her most recent outing. Ribas (10-2) suffered her first ever UFC loss, when she got TKO’d by another Brazilian in Marina Rodriguez back in January. Before the defeat, the 27-year-old was on a four-fight winning streak in the Octagon, with victories over Paige VanZant, Randa Markos, Mackenzie Dern and Emily Whitmire.
Looking to begin a new win streak, Jandiroba (17-2) picked up a doctor stoppage TKO win in her last outing, when she bested Kanako Murata in a dominant performance, in June.
