Veteran official Herb Dean will be the third man in the cage when Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor square off in the UFC 229 headliner.
The Nevada Athletic Commission on Tuesday revealed the referee and judges for the lightweight championship tilt, which takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 6. Dean will earn $1,900 for his work.
Meanwhile, Derek Cleary, Sal D’Amato and Junichiro Kamijo will score the contest from cageside. Each judge will be paid $1,600.
Nurmagomedov enters the matchup with a 26-0 professional mark and claimed the vacant lightweight crown with a five-round verdict over Al Iaquinta at UFC 223 in April.
