Things got a little weird when it was announced that the UFC were angling for a rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz at UFC 200.
McGregor, who seized the featherweight title after KO'ing Jose Aldo at UFC 194, leapt up two weight classes to take on Diaz in a welterweight showdown at the recent UFC 196 pay-per-view. The Irishman was orignally expected to challenge Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight title but the Brazilian pulled out of the bout citing a foot injury.
