UFC flyweight Ray Borg announced via Twitter this week that he will retire from MMA “forever” if he is forced to miss a fight again due to weight issues or something that is within his control.
The 25-year-old who has been in the news a lot this past year as a result of his son’s well-documented health issues finally made his return to the Octagon late last month to face Casey Kenney at UFC Philadelphia. Borg, who has a history of withdrawing from fights due to a variety of reasons including bad weight cuts, missed weight again and forfeited 20 percent of his fight purse to Kenney.
