When “The Iron Lady” makes her return to action, it’s Raquel Pennington that will be waiting for her.
Promotion officials announced Thursday that Pennington will fight Germaine de Randamie at UFC Denver on Nov. 10. This will mark de Randamie’s first appearance in the Octagon since defeating Holly Holm to become the inaugural UFC women’s featherweight champion in February of last year.
Since that time, de Randamie (7-3) has been on the sidelines for various reasons. She balked at defending her title against Cris Cyborg, citing the Brazilian having failed a drug test in the past, which led to the UFC eventually stripping her of the belt, and her return to bantamweight has been plagued by health problems.
