Rape, battery charges filed against TUF contestant dismissed without prejudice

After nearly six months of legal headaches, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight hopeful and Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 19 contestant Douglas Sparks can get back to a normal life.

Sparks, 32, was arrested last December on multiple felony charges of rape, battery with a deadly weapon, and criminal confinement, among others (more on that here), but had all 11 counts dismissed without prejudice on Thursday (May 28, 2015) by the Monroe County Circuit Court in Bloomington, Indiana.

In addition, his bond was refunded following the cancellation of his trial, which was originally set for June.
