Jonathan Meunier will replace his Tristar teammate Alex Garcia and face Colby Covington at UFC Fight Night: MacDonald vs. Thompson on June 18 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, sources told MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani on Thursday. Garcia pulled out Thursday and Meunier will have just one weeks to prepare.
Meunier (7-0) is undefeated with all of his victories coming via finish. The Quebec City native is coming off a first-round submission of Francis Charbonneau on May 21 under the LAMMQ banner. Meunier, 28, was once called "the bad bay of MMA Quebec" in a newspaper headline.
