But that's probably because nobody quite knew what to expect when Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice — two fighters who hadn't competed in five years — stepped inside the Decagon at Bellator 138 last night (Fri., June 19, 2015) live on Spike TV from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Miss.
In a short but eventful 2:22 of fight time, Slice survived a rear-naked choke that was deep around his neck, to get back to his feet and pound out the UFC 1 veteran (see video replay here).
Reactions on social media among fans ranged from surprise and bemusement to allegations of fight fixing.
