There’s been mixed reactions to Conor McGregor’s retirement this past weekend, with some fighters wishing him the best of luck and others accusing the Irishman of trying to steal the limelight from Amanda Nunes, who successfully defended her featherweight title against Felicia Spencer in the UFC 250 main event.
By far the biggest takeaway, though, came from newly-crowned interim UFC lightweight champ Justin Gaethje, who believes McGregor is ‘on another bender’ and may have announced his retirement while drunk on Proper No. 12.
“Thankfully all of the elderly are still hiding in their homes,” Gaethje wrote in reference to McGregor’s assault case from last year.
