It was revenge for Dillian Whyte (28-2, 19 KOs) in his rematch with Alexander Povetkin (36-3-1, 25 KOs), as he won by fourth-round TKO to become the new WBC interim heavyweight champion.
Whyte opened the fight by throwing some heavy overhands that glanced off Povetkin and made the Russian lose his footing. It seemed Povetkin was in trouble as he stumbled against the ropes and almost hit the mat, but he eventually found his feet and fought on.
The second round was more competitive as Povetkin started to land some power punches, but Whyte was still the aggressor working off his jab to land some hard combinations.
