Looking for patterns in UFC 187, where the UFC should be relieved that despite a couple of scares, the "good guys" walked out of the arena with the belts.
UFC 187 played host to a couple of morality plays. Convicted domestic abuser Anthony Rumble Johnson went up against the amiable Daniel Cormier, and the All-American Chris Weidman fought drug-test failure and testosterone replacement poster boy Vitor Belfort. To the relief of many, the bad guys lost, and the good guys won. Hooray!
It was a close-run thing though. Johnson sent Cormier flying across the cage with an overhand, and Belfort opened up on Weidman with a flurry and bloodied his left eye.
