Dustin Poirier's world was rocked when he fought Conor McGregor at UFC 178 last September. After weeks of antagonizing from his Irish opponent, 'The Notorious' delivered on his promise when he knocked out 'The Diamond' in the first round at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Since then, Poirier has reinvented himself as a lightweight contender, crushing Carlos Diego Ferreria and Yancy Medeiros, but the sting of the McGregor loss still torments the Floridan.
"I was very emotional, just because of everything that had gone on between me and Conor," Poirier told Sky Sports yesterday.
