Earlier this week, former WEC featherweight champion and longtime UFC bantamweight contender Urijah Faber announced that he will retire following his UFC on FOX 22 bout vs. Brad Pickett. The 37-year-old Faber will bow out of the sport in front of his home fans in Sacramento, California, in what will surely be an emotional moment for “The California Kid.”
Pickett, who had mulled his own retirement before his win over Francisco Rivera in February, spoke with MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani, and had nothing but great things to say about Urijah.
"When I was offered this fight I was pumped," Pickett said.
