Until now.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion earned the privilege shortly after she was dubbed "The World's Most Dominate Athlete."

The first mixed martial arts (MMA) star to grace the SI cover, however, is former UFC lightweight contender Roger Huerta, whose push kick on Leonard Garcia back at UFC 69 put him in the spotlight.
