Pic: 14-year old Ronda Rousey named one of Sports Illustrated’s 'Faces in the Crowd' back in 2001

Sports Illustrated doesn't always get it right.

In 2011, the magazine predicted the Red Sox would win 100 games, clinch the American League East, and move on to win baseball's World Series. Instead, Boston finished third, won only 90 games, and failed to make the playoffs.

No matter.

Back in 2001, SI named 14-year-old rising star Ronda Rousey one of sporting world's "Faces in the Crowd" after "Rowdy" racked up multiple gold medals on the judo circuit on her way to becoming an Olympic medalist (alongside the "annoying" Michael Phelps).
