Middleweight prospect Phil Hawes will make a fairly quick turnaround for his second World Series of Fighting appearance.
Promotion officials announced Wednesday that Hawes will replace Shamil Gamzatov and face Louis Taylor at WSOF 32 on July 30.
According to a release, Gamzatov withdrew from the 185-pound contest due to personal issues. WSOF President Ray Sefo stated that the organization hopes to have the Russian fighter “back in action soon.”
WSOF 32 takes place at Xfinity Arena in Everett, Wash., and is headlined by a bantamweight title rematch between Marlon Moraes and Josh Hill.
