Phil Davis on leaving UFC: Fighting better competition for less money doesn't make sense to me (Video)

Money talks.

That's according to current Bellator light heavyweight contender and previous Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) star Phil Davis, who will participate in the former's one-night, 205-pound tournament at Bellator 142: "Dynamite 1" tomorrow night (Sat., Sept. 19, 2015) on Spike TV.

"Mr. Wonderful" takes on former Bellator light heavyweight champion Emanuel Newton, who plans on recapturing the belt he lost to undefeated mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter and current 205-pound kingpin Liam McGeary back in February.

The soon-to-be 31-year-old Davis, who makes his Bellator debut inside SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., jumped ship after his UFC contract expired earlier this year and signed a new deal with its rival promotion, where the grass is apparently much greener.
