Anthony Pettis may not have been victorious in his second regular season appearance for the Professional Fighters League, but he was nonetheless the promotion’s top earner.
The former UFC and WEC lightweight champion took home $750,000 for a second-round submission loss to Steven Ray ($80,000) at PFL 5 on June 24.
The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission released a full list of salaries to MMAjunkie.com from the PFL’s second set of regular season events, all of which took place at Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta.
Other top earners included two-time women’s lightweight champion Kayla Harrison, who garnered $500,000 for a first-round stoppage of Kaitlin Young ($20,000) at PFL 6 on July 1 and Rory MacDonald, who pocketed $250,000 in a decision loss to Sadibou Sy ($52,000) at the same event.
