The second week of the first-ever Professional Fighters League playoffs are here. There are six weight classes where the winners of those eight-man tournaments will pocket $1 million, and the action continues tonight (Saturday, October 13th) from Long Beach, California.
PFL 9 is focused on the lightweights and light heavyweights. Atop the lightweight bracket is #1 seed Natan Schulte, who takes on #8 seed Johnny Case, brought in as an alternate after Brian Foster was removed due to injury. Light heavyweight’s top seed is Vinny Magalhaes, and he’ll be taking on Rakim Cleveland.
To make things more interesting, the quarterfinals and semifinals are on the same night, with the quarterfinals scheduled for two-rounds and the semifinals are three-rounds.
