Kayla Harrison continued her seemingly inexorable march towards the PFL’s inaugural women’s lightweight championship.
The two-time Olympic gold medal winning judoka was heavily favored going into Thursday’s co-main event meeting with Morgan Frier at PFL 4 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and she didn’t disappoint. It didn’t take long for Harrison to show off her grappling expertise as she muscled Frier against the cage and scored a takedown.
From there, she made her way into half-guard and then advanced to a crucifix position that allowed her to pepper Frier with short punches on the ground.
