Lance Palmer cruised to a victory in his first bout of PFL’s season two featherweight tournament.
Palmer, who won PFL’s season one 145-pound tourney last year to take home the $1 million prize, outwrestled Alex Gilpin with ease to collect three points in the main event of PFL 13. The card went down on Thursday night at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, N.Y.
Palmer looked to finish the fight early, dropping Gilpin in the opening minutes of round one, but then followed with his grappling and submission threats. Rounds two and three were more grappling oriented in favor of Palmer.
