KSW, Poland’s premier mixed martial arts promotion, announced on Monday afternoon that controversial UFC veteran Rousimar Palhares will headline their upcoming show in October.
According to the press release, the Brazilian submission specialist infamously known for malicious behaviour and unsportsmanlike conduct during fights, will meet former middleweight champion Michal Materla.
Palhares, who won the WSOF middleweight title against Steve Carl and defended it against Jon Fitch and Jake Shields, was stripped of the title and suspended for two years by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for holding onto submissions for too long. Barred from competition in North America, Palhares debuted in Venator FC in May and suffered a KO loss to relative unknown Emil Weber Meek.
