Paige VanZant asked for a new deal, and she got one. The popular strawweight prospect, who had one fight remaining on her UFC contract after recently defeating Alex Chambers, announced Thursday that she had re-upped with the UFC and landed her next fight, though an opponent was not specified.
VanZant's contract negotiations were initially reported Wednesday on UFC Tonight.
Her manager, Mike Roberts, revealed that he hoped to get a new deal in place before targeting one final fight to close out the year, likely in either December or early January.
