Glover Teixeira is out of the UFC Sao Paulo main event bout with Jimi Manuwa, and it looks like he needs to go under the knife.
The one-time UFC light heavyweight title contender told MMA Fighting on Wednesday that he will check his damaged shoulder with his doctor on Thursday to find out if he really needs surgery to treat this old injury.
”I visited (the doctor) before, but since I got injured again, I’ll see if something (got worse),” Teixeira said. “We’ll see if I need surgery or only physical therapy. I think I’ll need surgery because I wanted to have surgery before.
