At age 35, Bibiano Fernandes is still going strong. The Brazilian dominated Kevin Belingon on the mat before sealing the deal with a nasty kimura to complete the fourth defense of his bantamweight title at ONE Championship 36 in Changsha, China.
Fernandes (19-3) is widely considered to be one of the best fighters in ONE, and he again showed why on Saturday, tripping Belingon to the floor in the first exchange of the fight, then smothering his Filipino foe with a steady diet of transitions and top control. Belingon had nothing to offer Fernandes on the ground, and it was only a matter of time until Fernandes worked into side control and seized a kimura on Belingon's left arm, drawing a tap at 4:04 of the opening frame.
