UFC heavyweight Daniel Omielanczuk was informed of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation involving the banned substance Meldonium on Friday, according to a statement from the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
However, the 33-year-old Polish fighter was not issued a provisional suspension by USADA as a result of the positive test, allowing him to remain on the UFC Fight Night Card in Sioux Falls for his bout against Alexey Oleinik on July 13.
Omnielanczuk was not suspended due to new guidelines issued by WADA regarding situations where punishment can be avoided regarding Meldonium.
