Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison will make her third mixed martial arts appearance when she faces Moriel Charneski at Professional Fighters League’s championship event on Dec. 31.
The promotion announced the lightweight matchup on Monday. The card takes place at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden and features world championship bouts in six different weight classes, with the winners receiving $1 million apiece. The headlining contest will see Ray Cooper III face Magomed Magomedkerimov for the welterweight crown. The card will be televised on NBC Sports Network.
Harrison began her MMA tenure with a first-round submission of Brittney Elkin at PFL 2 before earning a third-round technical knockout victory against Jozette Cotton at PFL 6 on Aug.
