Ode Osbourne eyes Francisco Figueiredo matchup, aims to use UFC platform to inspire

Ode Osbourne certainly didn’t show any ring rust after a 13-month layoff.

Osbourne returned to the octagon for the first time since his first-round submission loss to Brian Kelleher at UFC 246 in January 2020 with a 26-second stoppage of Jerome Rivera earlier this month at UFC Vegas 18. It was his first promotional win since his standout performance on Dana White’s Contender Series in July 2019 and he has sights set on a big 2021 campaign.

“The Jamaican Sensation” spoke with MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck to recap his big win over Rivera, what he learned from his loss to Kelleher, the negative feedback he received from the fans following that fight, wanting to use his UFC platform for good and as a way to inspire others, wanting a fight with Francisco Figueiredo for his move to the flyweight division, what he took away from meeting middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, and much more.
