The undefeated Dagestani fighter made his intentions clear while beating up Michael Johnson at UFC 205.
Nurmagomedov, 28, made mince meat of Johnson on the preliminary card and even told his opponent to ‘give up’ towards the end the bout. ‘The Eagle’ also spoke to UFC president Dana White in between rounds and demanded a fight with newly-crowned lightweight champion, Conor McGregor.
Before finishing ‘The Menace’ with a kimura in the third round, Nurmagomedov promised White that he would ‘smash’ his ‘boy’ McGregor.
“I talk about don’t give me this bulls*it contract no more and give me [McGregor], I’m going to fight your boy,” Nurmagomedov told Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, per MMA Fighting’s Dave Doyle.
