Prior to his title unification fight against interim heavyweight champion, Fabricio Werdum, at last night's (Sat., June 13, 2015) UFC 188 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Mexico City, Mexico, Cain Velasquez hadn't competed inside the Octagon in nearly two years.
But you won't hear him use that -- or the high elevation -- as an excuse for getting choked out and dethroned by the jiu-jitsu specialist in round three of their championship fight (see it again here).
That's according to the former champion himself, who declared during the post-fight press conference that Fabricio was simply the better fighter in Mexico.
