Niko Price suspended six months and fined $8,500 by NSAC for positive marijuana test

For the second time in his UFC career, Niko Price has been suspended for a positive marijuana test.

Traces of marijuana were found in Price’s drug test stemming back from his former fight with Donald Cerrone on Sept. 19. Price, 31, was fined $8,500 and $145.36 in prosecution fees, and suspended six months.

Originally scored a majority draw, the result of Price’s fight with Cerrone has been changed to a no-contest by the Nevada Athletic Commission. Price’s suspension is active from Sept. 19, so he will be eligible to fight again on Mar. 19, 2021. He later tweeted this after the punishment was handed down.
